ND is an architect and a photographer who founded the internet platform 'ND OF THE WORLD' in 2019 to upload his pictures in which he tries to hold different perspectives showing his view of the world.
He received his master's degree in Architecture at TU Delft in 2009, prior to that, he finished his bachelor's degree from the University of Seoul.
Currently, he is based in Stuttgart after living in many different cities in the world including Seoul, Minneapolis, Amsterdam, Tokyo, and Munich. This experience formed him to be always open-minded and to keep a down-to-earth attitude.
He is originally trained as an architect but has noticed that there is a strong connection between architecture and photography which is about dealing with light, composition, narrative, and idea. Definitely, his architectural background influenced a lot to his photography, and currently, he is pursuing to be a better photographer. His main focuses include these three areas; Architecture, Landscape, and Portrait.
For him, the essential element of photography is imagination. People have certain images in their minds, but mostly these images remain in the realm of possibilities. The action of taking pictures, for him, is not just taking pictures of new objects, but from his imagination and memory, he is actually creating an image that is formed throughout its development. That's why he always says that photography is a means of unfolding our immanent dimensions and actualizing these possibilities.
